1987

Foundation of Samson Transport Northern Greece LTD in Thessaloniki, by Mr. Anastasios Kokkalias, who had previous experience on the transportation field since 1969. Samson Transport Northern Greece LTD was a subsidiary company of the Danish Samson Transport Co. A/S.

2001

A 20,000 m2 plot is purchased, with the included buildings containing (offices and warehouses). This plot (previously operating as a Goodyear factory) is located at a key point within the Sindos Industrial Area.

2002

Our company, changes its name and legal form (from LTD becomes S.A), and the activities on the International transport field continue under the name of GR SAMSON FORWARDING S.A which is a totally independent Greek company.

2003

In collaboration with JET OIL we created in our own premises an ultramodern gas station, which among other allocates tunnel washing-machine for trucks and cars, restaurant and a mini market.

2004

Construction of new and modern facilities (warehouse and offices) with total area 1,200 m2, as an extension to the existing ones.

2005

Purchase of a piece of land 4.097 m2 which borders on our warehouse.

2006

A further expansion with the construction of new and modern facilities (1.700 m2 warehouse & 800 m2 offices) and the renovation of the old one will add up on our storage capacity creating a total area of 6.200 m2. At the same time, we create our own rail terminal within our plot, in order to accomplish the direct connection of our depot with the National Railway Network.

2008

We re-invest in new technologies and enter dynamically in 3rd Party Logistics sector, following the market’s needs for fast, affordable, and reliable freight handling throughout the logistics chain.

2016

The collaboration with JET OIL changes and a new collaboration with EKO begins

2017

• 30 Years SAMSON. The year 2017 is a special year for our company because we are celebrating 20 years of continues presence and success in the field of International transports.

2019

As part of the continuous development of our company from the beginning of 2019 we launched our new corporate identity with a brand new logo which we hope to provide ease of use for GR SAMSON customers and partners around the world.
